I consider myself the Slow Poke Turtle shirt owner of the corner lot, and we don’t have any good pets, not turtles and they currently occupy an aquarium.  An endangered Indian tortoise, in exchange for its beautiful patterned shell, was thwarted in conservation along with several other species at this year’s CITES conference. Have I trained them on chains yet. (no one laughs, oh) No need to identify who – although I take turns to look at them while glancing at other people present.

I tend to doubt it. The only thing my dog knows is that he is eating what I am eating.

  I tend to doubt it. The only thing my dog knows is that he is eating what I am eating. I read that dogs have very insensitive taste buds, so if humans can sometimes not tell the difference between meats, supposedly dogs can not either. Of course, the insensitive tastebuds thing falls apart when my dog is faced with the option of eating kibble which tastes terrible (yes I have tried it) or eating something tasty. On the other hand, I have tricked him into eating his kibble by pretending to eat it myself. If he sees me eat it he assumes it is better than dog food so he will eat it more readily until he realizes he was duped, presumably because it tastes like shit and sees that I am no longer “eating” it.
